Peter Thomas

Peter graduated from the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business with a degree in Finance in 2020. Instead of going into the finance industry immediately upon graduation, he decided to go into Project Management for a real estate development company in Virginia Beach, Virginia. However, after almost three years in the industry, he chose to return to his original career path in the financial industry.

Peter joined the firm in September 2022. Throughout his time with the Blue Sky, he has taken on more roles and responsibilities, and is currently holding the positions of Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He is also in the process of earning his Charter as a CFA, which is a multi-year program intended to give a comprehensive and in depth understanding of portfolio management and investment analytics to those who successfully complete the program.

Peter spends the majority of his free time with his wife and dogs, enjoying the outdoors hiking the many different trails San Diego County has to offer. He is also a member of a sailing team, participating in regattas in the San Diego Bay and in the ocean surrounding the coast. When the opportunity arises, he also enjoys fishing and SCUBA diving, and has his PADI advanced open water diver certification.
