Laurie McKee

Laurie is a Partner and Corporate Secretary for Blue Sky ensuring that the company adheres to good corporate governance practices. This includes ensuring that the board of directors operates ethically and transparently, complies with the laws and regulations it needs to adhere to, while maintaining all legal documents, such as contracts, resolutions, meeting minutes, and regulatory filings are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to stakeholders.

Laurie graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in biology.  She completed a Master’s Degree in Management specializing in Contract Management from Naval Postgraduate School Monterey and a Master’s Degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces/The Eisenhower School of National Security and Resource Strategy.  

Prior to pursuing her relationship with Larry in their financial planning firm, Laurie served a career as U.S. Naval Officer specializing in logistics.  Among her naval experiences she served as Director of NRPEO San Diego; as a staff officer for the Chairman of the Joint Staff at the Pentagon; and in logistics positions including Naval Special Warfare, Third Fleet, naval aviation, submarine support; numerous ships; naval communication in the continental U.S. and overseas; and fleet support command. She retired as a U.S. Navy Captain/06 and currently serves as a Director of a local 501(c) organization that focuses on education.

Laurie brings a broad range of experience to the firm and acts as Larry’s chief sounding board for strategic planning for the firm. She considers her contributions to raising her three stepchildren as her most important life accomplishment; and supports Blue Sky’s dedication to helping individuals, their families, and their friends accomplish their life goals as the firm’s #1 priority.
