Peter Thomas

Peter joins Blue Sky as their Chief Compliance & Operating Officer ensuring the firm and its members are adhering to the regulatory requirements while supporting the team with operational related activities. With his prior project management experience with a real estate development company, Peter was able to apply his knowledge and expertise for creating and managing processes and systems, so the team can focus on servicing its clients.

Peter graduated in 2020 from the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business in Finance. In addition to his current duties, Peter is actively pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation, a multi-year program intended to give a comprehensive and in depth understanding of portfolio management and investment analytics to those who successfully complete the program.

During his free time, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs. He also appreciates the outdoors and looks forward to hiking the many different trails San Diego County has to offer. He is a member of a sailing team, participating in regattas in the San Diego Bay and in the ocean surrounding the coast. When the opportunity arises, he also enjoys fishing and SCUBA diving and has his PADI advanced open water diver certification. Interested in the outdoors, ask Peter for his favorite hiking trails!
